Production schedule

A master document that maps out every stage of the production, from prep to shoot days to post, with dates, deadlines, and responsibilities.

The production schedule keeps the whole team aligned and accountable. Missing a deadline at one stage usually creates a knock-on effect throughout the rest of production, especially with a fixed release date looming.

Production schedule in the real world

A typical single-song video on a mid-tier label budget might run: two weeks of prep, one to two shoot days, two weeks of offline editing and approvals, one week of colour grade and online finishing. Compress any of those windows and something breaks. The production schedule is what stops that compression from happening by accident.
