Location scout in the real world
Martin Scorsese’s Bad (1987) for Michael Jackson was filmed at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station in Brooklyn, New York. The location was chosen specifically because it was an operational station that could be closed and dressed as an authentic urban environment. The scouting decision shaped the entire visual language of the video.
