New Photo Re-touching: Damsel in Distress
Posted on Jun 27, 2008 in Colourization, Photography Work, Portfolio, Re-touching
A group of photographers and models hired out our Chroma Key studio to take some shots of their new models. One of these photos was of a girl in front of pictures of anorexic people, fat people, dolls etc and was supposed to show the ever changing perfection that people these days seem to be striving for through cosmetic surgery etc.
This photo didn’t depict itself right on it’s own as although the model looked great she just didn’t look doll like enough. Chris Maguire was called in to re-touch this photo where he evened out the skin tone and made the girl look as doll like as possible. Chris also colourised certain aspects such as the lipstick and the eyelashes and eyes to make them pop off the page.
Please find below the re-touched photo and then the original one. As you can see there is a huge difference and the re-touched photo looks better in general. Thanks and comments are welcomed.
