New Songs: Kryophere
We have toiled away in the studio over the last week putting together four tracks for the up and coming Kryophere album that we will be doing later on in the year (June or July). We approached this recording completely differently to any we have done to date as instead of acoustic drums we used a Virtual Kit, connected to a Macintosh running Logic, EZ Drummer and the Drum kit From Hell drum-kit sounds. The main purpose for this choice was to be able to quantize everything into perfect time and nothing else would work in the time frame we had.
Chris Maguire then spent half a day developing a drum sound from this that was as far away from the original sound as possible and took it from what came out as really thin, blatantly processed eats to a full, real sounding drum sound that you hear on the finished tracks. One of the tracks - Assume the position was also taken by Bleed Electric and re-written from a lyrical and musical standpoint, shall we say re-mixed to make a new song X. Special Weapons and Tactics which will be on their debut album.
We are extremely happy with the outcome of these four Kryophere tracks and think that you will agree that these are probably our best Metal productions to date. Big pounding, yet clear drum sounds, thick and clear guitar tones coupled with some lovely vocal sounds make for an awesome listen. We have included two of the four tracks below for your listening pleasure so crank up your volume and get down with the drillin’ that is Kryophere - Pembs massive.

We were so happy with the results in fact, we have asked Kryophere if they would be interested in releasing The Dolls House Part 1 & 2 as a single on Altsounds Records. If all goes to plan there will be a music video in Castell Coch and all sorts of fun and crazy shit. Watch this space for more information soon.
