New EP & Video: My Significant Other - The Floor Is On Fire

My Significant Other are a punk / screamo band hailing from Pembrokeshire.  They are all quite young so what their doing is pretty impressive!  I do believe that the drummer is only fifteen and is REALLY good for that age, he was working on his grade 8 when they recorded here.

We recorded, produced, mixed and mastered four songs for My Significant Other over four days and on the fifth day we filmed a music video for their track “Come Dance”.  That video was actually recorded in the loading dock and basement of the studios after unsuccessfully trying to film it at a particular billboard before being bombarded by hayfever within about one or two minutes of turning up on location!

Chris Maguire was responsible for the recording, production, mixing and mastering of the EP and did the camera operation, direction, video editing and titles.  Chris also composed the string sections for the songs they appear on.

Please find below the EP and the music video that we made.  Please note that I dowloaded these MP3s off the bands Myspace page so you can expect the usual sound degregation because of this.  Either way you get a feel of the final product.
